Jesse and I celebrated Valentine’s day a few hours early. It was fast, quick, and simple… 😛
I made a card (as always) for Jesse on Monday prior to Valentine’s day. And then throughout the week, I was thinking of things I could surprise him with … something that I didn’t have to spend money with. But I never got any idea (because I was also focused on our trip to Hawaii/Big Island & at the same time thinking about our immigration interview this coming Friday).
While I was packing up our stuff on Friday night, Jesse told me he has to leave again (because he just came home from our neighbor’s house playing NBA Live) to go to the store to buy something. I totally forgot that he might be planning to buy me something. I thought it was just one of those random errands/things he always had to go to, so I let him go. I think it was 9 pm.
When he came home, he surprised me with a red rose and a box of chocolates! My first box of chocolates, ever! Of course, he didn’t forget the Valentine’s card. And so, I gave my card for him, too. We both read to each other our card, and that’s about it for our simple, sweet, pre-Valentine’s day.
After we celebrated, I packed up a little bit more stuff, then we went back to the Gellor’s house (where Jesse plays NBA Live all the time). It was around 10:30 pm. Jesse was thinking not to go to bed anymore before we leave Laie (we were supposed to leave at 3 am). The Gellor Family, Taylor Family, and us stayed up pretty late together. I went home before Jesse did so I could finish packing up. We went to bed at 1:15 am, then I woke up at 2:00 am to take a shower before leaving. I was sooo sleepless! So was Jesse.
We dropped by at the Gellor’s house because we were gonna carpool with them (using their car). By 3:30 am, we were good to go, so did our friends (Taylor at Catahan couples). Off to Big Island!!!
